India At ITB BERLIN- Setting New Records

If you see India as Goa, Rajasthan and Kerala, then its time for you to think again as there are myriad other attractions which formalize it as a cultural-heritage state.

With growing interests of foreign and domestic tourists, Indian government is taking all the requisite steps to present the state on world platform. They are bringing major change in tourism policy and strengthening their position in the global tourism market.

The latest buzz in the tourism industry was participation of India in ITB Berlin – the largest travel show in the world (March 6-March 11). India partnered the show with Berlin.

ITB was huge and so India had to take best of gems to showcase. Around 45 chefs were flown oversees and hundreds of craftsmen’s ranging from fashion designers to mehandi applicators to present India as beautiful tourist destination. There were around 75 folk artistes, which accentuate the Indian flavour.

All in all, India put up a great show and the got loads of applause and feedbacks from foreign spectators. ITB 2007 would play a major role in increase of tourism in India in the years to come.
